Day 1: Dimapur to Kohima (70 km / 3 hours)


Welcome to the enchanting land of Nagaland! Your adventure begins as you arrive at Dimapur, the largest city in Nagaland, and from here, you will be driven to Kohima, the state capital. The journey covers a distance of 70 kilometers and takes approximately 3 hours, offering you picturesque views of lush green hills and winding roads. Check-in to your comfortable accommodation in Kohima, where you can relax and prepare for the exciting days ahead.


Day 2: Kohima to Khonoma and Back


After a hearty breakfast, embark on a day trip to the beautiful village of Khonoma, nestled amidst pristine hills. Khonoma is famous for its lush forests and community-based conservation efforts. Explore the village, interact with the locals, and learn about their unique customs and traditions. You'll have the chance to witness Naga tribal culture up close. Return to Kohima in the evening for an overnight stay.


Day 3: Kohima to Mokokchung (145 km / 4 hours)


Today, your journey takes you to Mokokchung, known for its scenic beauty and vibrant culture. The drive covers a distance of 145 kilometers and takes around 4 hours. Mokokchung is home to the Ao Naga tribe, and you'll have the opportunity to explore their way of life and traditions. Check-in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, soaking in the serene atmosphere of Mokokchung.


Day 4: Mokokchung to Tuensang (80 km / 2.5 hours)


After breakfast, depart for Tuensang, a place rich in Naga heritage and known for its picturesque landscapes. The journey spans 80 kilometers and takes approximately 2.5 hours. Upon reaching Tuensang, immerse yourself in the local culture and traditions. Visit local markets and interact with the friendly tribespeople. Overnight stay in Tuensang.


Day 5: Tuensang to Mon (170 km / 5 hours)


Today, you'll travel to Mon, which is famous for its headhunting history and traditional Konyak Naga tribes. The journey covers 170 kilometers and takes about 5 hours. Explore the unique culture, visit the Angh's (chief's) house, and discover the tattooed Konyak warriors. Overnight stay in Mon.


Day 6: Mon Sightseeing Tour


Spend the day exploring the cultural treasures of Mon. Visit the Longwa Village, where you can witness the Indo-Myanmar border running through the Angh's house. Explore the Chui Village to see the traditional Naga huts and handicrafts. Learn about the fascinating traditions and customs of the Konyak Naga people.


Day 7: Mon to Jorhat (140 km / 4 hours)


Bid farewell to Mon and proceed to Jorhat, a charming town in Assam known for its tea gardens and vibrant culture. The drive spans 140 kilometers and takes around 4 hours. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and relax for the evening.


Day 8: Jorhat to Kaziranga (110 km / 2.5 hours)


After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. The journey covers a distance of 110 kilometers and takes approximately 2.5 hours. Upon arrival, check-in to your wildlife resort and prepare for your exciting safari adventures.


Day 9: Exploring Kaziranga


Today is dedicated to exploring the incredible biodiversity of Kaziranga National Park. Enjoy morning and afternoon safaris to spot rhinos, tigers, elephants, and a variety of bird species. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the park and learn about its conservation efforts.


Day 10: Kaziranga to Guwahati (200 km / 4 hours)


After breakfast, depart for Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India. The drive covers a distance of 200 kilometers and takes about 4 hours. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, reflecting on your memorable journey through the hills and cultures of Northeast India.


Day 11: Departure from Guwahati


Your Northeast India adventure comes to an end today. Depending on your departure time, you may have some free time to explore Guwahati or do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs. Bid farewell to this enchanting region and take with you unforgettable memories of the diverse landscapes and cultures you've experienced.
