Kaziranga and Meghalaya (4 Nights-5 Days)


Day 01: Guwahati to Kaziranga National Park

Arrive in Guwahati, the largest city in the state of Assam. Meet your tour guide and proceed to Kaziranga National Park, located approximately 193 kilometres away. After freshening up you can go on a guided tour through the forest near your accommodation along the river bank. You can also visit the tea garden and rubber plantation. Later return to the resort for overnight stay.


Day 02: Kaziranga National Park (Jeep Safari). Later drive to Shillong via Umiam Lake

Wake up early in the morning for an exciting jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park, home to the endangered one-horned rhinoceros. Explore the park's diverse wildlife, including elephants, tigers, deer, and various bird species. After the safari, return to your accommodation and have breakfast.

Later, drive to Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya, known as the "Scotland of the East." Enroute, visit Umiam Lake, a picturesque reservoir surrounded by lush green hills. Arrive in Shillong and check into your hotel. Enjoy the evening at leisure, exploring the local markets or trying out delicious local cuisine.


Day 03: Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong

After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee, renowned as one of the wettest places on Earth. Visit the majestic Nohkalikai Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India. Explore the Mawsmai Caves, known for their limestone formations and unique stalactites and stalagmites. Visit the Seven Sisters Falls, Dainthlen Falls, and other popular attractions in Cherrapunjee. In the evening, return to Shillong and spend the rest of the day at leisure.


Day 04: Shillong - Mawlynnong - Dawki - Shillong

After breakfast, proceed to Mawlynnong, a pristine village known for its cleanliness and eco-friendly practices. Explore the living Rootbridge, formed by training the roots of rubber fig trees to create natural bridges. Experience the tranquility of Mawlynnong and admire the scenic beauty of the village.

Later, visit Dawki, a town located on the border of India and Bangladesh, famous for its crystal-clear Umngot River. Enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River, known for its surreal beauty and transparent waters. Return to Shillong in the evening and spend the night at your hotel.


Day 05: Shillong to Guwahati Departure. Guwahati Kamakhya Temple Visit

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Guwahati. Visit the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Hindu temples dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. Explore the temple complex and learn about its rich religious and cultural significance.

Finally, you will be dropped off at Guwahati Airport or railway station for your departure.
