ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati and Drive to Tezpur (185 Kms/ 3.5 Hrs)
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, you'll be met by your driver and guide who will take you on a scenic drive to Tezpur, which is around 185 km away and takes about 4 hours. Tezpur is a historical and mystique city and has many ancient and mythological artefacts. You proceed to Agnigarh, Mahabhairab Temple. Evening visit Ganesh Ghat. Relax for the night. Overnight in Tezpur.
Day 2: Tezpur – Bomdila - Dirang (190 Kms/ 5 Hrs)
After breakfast, start your journey to Dirang, which is around 190 km away and takes about 5 hours to reach. Enroute visit Bomdila Monastery and immerse in spirituality. Bomdila View Point offers a place to relax and soothe one's mind and body. Explore the local market at your own leisure.. Upon arrival in Dirang, check-in at your hotel and spend the rest of the evening exploring the town and its surroundings.
Day 3: Dirang – Tawang (140 Kms/ 4.5 Hrs)
After breakfast, check-out from your hotel and drive to Tawang, this is around 140 km away and takes about 4.5 hours to reach. En route, you'll visit the famous Jaswantgarh War Memorial, which is a historic site dedicated to the memory of an Indian soldier who fought in the Indo-China War of 1962. Enjoy the scenic views of the snow-capped Himalayas and the lush green valleys. Check-in at your hotel in Tawang and spend the night.
Day 4: Tawang - Bumla Pass - Madhuri Lake - Tawang
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Bumla Pass and Madhuri Lake. Bumla Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass that's located at an altitude of around 15,000 feet and is situated on the India-China border.
Madhuri Lake, also known as Shonga-tser Lake, is a beautiful high-altitude lake that's surrounded by snow-capped mountains and was named after the Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, who shot a film here. Return to your hotel in Tawang in the evening and relax.

Day 5: Local sightseeing in Tawang
After getting treated to the morning breakfast, you will start with sightseeing in and around Tawang that is one of the most beautiful places in Arunachal Pradesh. Start with the lakes followed by bird watching and also cover the 300-year-old Tawang Monastery that is locally called Gompa. It is the largest in India and the second largest in Asia after the Lhasa in Tibet. Have lunch and go out for some shopping where you will be delighted to count on some of the local items that are special out there followed by the Craft Center and traditional Monpa Village. Overnight in Tawang
Day 6: Tawang – Dirang (140 Kms/4 Hrs)
Today after breakfast we will drive back to Dirang. On the way we will stop to visit 1962 Indo-China War Memorial, which is dedicated to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat, of the 4th Battalion of Garhwal Rifles Infantry Regiment. He showed his heroism by fighting and holding the attack of China back for 72 hours all alone. Singh remained at his post at an altitude of about 10,000 feet before succumbing to an enemy bullet during that bloody winter war. The memorial is located 25 km before Tawang and is surrounded by scenic terrain just below the Sela Pass.
After visiting the war memorial, we will continue our drive to Dirang. En-route enjoy the view of snow-clad peaks namely Kangto (7090 mt), Nyegi Kangsang (7050 mt), Gorichen (6488 mt). Upon arrival at Dirang, check into the hotel. Enjoy evening at leisure, followed by overnight stay at the hotel
Day 7: Dirang - Guwahati Departure (280 Kms/ 8 Hrs)
After breakfast in the morning, head straight to the last destination, Guwahati. Your Assam Arunachal Pradesh Tour comes to a great end with your transfer to the Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey..
